Gottman therapy is a specialized approach for couples who may be experiencing unhealthy
relationships.
How it works:
Therapy begins with individual interviews and assessments with each partner to understand all areas of the relationship. Based on the assessments, the therapist will determine which evidence-based treatment will be the most effective for the sessions. Gottman therapy includes multiple guides such as “The Sound Marital House Theory” and “The Four Horseman of the Apocalypse “.
These guides help structure therapy and approach issues with strategic methods. Each couple will then go through a series of interventions and techniques with the therapist to resolve any remaining conflicts. Gottman therapy also includes additional resources to help enhance treatment and optimize future sessions.
We want COUPLES to build a close and intimate relationship, learn conflict
management, and live an ENJOYABLE and MEANINGFUL life together.
Who can benefit?
Any couple who may be experiencing complications such as communication, intimacy, parental troubles, financial challenges, etc., is qualified for Gottman therapy. Many relationships encounter difficulties and fail due to unhealthy communication and behaviors. Gottman therapy will ultimately help couples demonstrate effective conflict resolution, establish positive behavior and build a trusting relationship.
